Eco Automobile Park

There are a number of automobile workshops, repair shops and service stations along Grand Road in Puri that create pollution problems and traffic blocks. The District Administration had decided not to allow any new such activities along the Grand Road. For relocating these activities, an Eco Automobile Park is proposed to be developed at an appropriate location away from the core city area. The site identified by the Puri Municipality was rejected based on the studies due to possible environmental impacts and an alternate site has subsequently been identified away from the town for housing the relocated activities as well as for providing parking facility for the tourist vehicles which come in large numbers.
